All this momentum that the democrats have been building to change to a new type of energy isn’t bad, and I don’t think we should abandon it. BUT, to try and get people to believe the world is running out of oil is a joke!!!

Scientists believe that there is as much or more oil in Alaska as there is in Iraq. Why do you think the Russians are trying to side drill us from underneath the ocean!!??

The problem is the Church of Global warming is getting in the way of the success of America.

  • cloudsurfer45:

Few things one politicians can preach energy independence it will never happen in my lifetime(im only 21). The US consumes 21 million barrels of oil per day which is 25% of the worlds oil We can drill more but Reagan tried that and it didnt work offshore drilling over TEN years will make an overall change in .75 cents per barrel which is maybe a penny or two per gallon. Offshore drilling is actually incredibly costly also. I urge you all to get oil fact from the us geological survey not fox news

  • scabberdoug:

More drilling and lower gas prices are NOT the answer. If gas prices come down the motivation to find alternative fuels drops significantly. Want to take a bite out of big oil? Drive an electric car.

  • roooddy:

if the gov’t can’t follow the trail of why gas is going up then someone help us

  • eveofrevolution:

Can you buy 87 octane in Europe? Germany only sells 94-98 (last I checked). Do you know what the price of 98 octane race gas is in California?

    hint: its cheaper in Germany.

But hey, oil is a valuable resource, so it should be as expensive as the market will support. We need it to make EVERYTHING from plastic to solar cells. Those dumb enough to burn oil should have to pay out the ass, myself included: Put your money where your mouth is and pull your own weight!

gas is short for gasoline fag

  • sjking92:

lol wow, you must have stayed up all night thinking of that one… well ppl should have seen this gas thing coming, our family invested in gas stock about when the stock was really cheap. smart people would have done the same, not sit and complain, take action, make best of the high gas prices, every time gas goes up, our stock goes up.

  • sjking92:

    that is true

  • kellypunkin08:

    stfu.

  • Cleverconveyence:

That response didn’t even make sense logically speaking, I am talking about your country (albeit in hyperbole, I don’t actually believe you can get coast to coast over there in 45 minutes in the United Kingdom).

  • KleenezeOpportunity:

LOL, you actually believe that, don’t you douchebag?

  • KleenezeOpportunity:

It’s not gas, it’s petrol and diesel.

    It’s not even A gas, it’s a liquid.

You are so stupid as a nation!

  • UncleKennybobs:

    Maybe on your planet.

  • Cleverconveyence:

Public transit isn’t as widespread in most places in the U.S. as it is in the UK, unfortunately. Say you live 45 minutes outside of the city and have to drive to work. 1:30 each way, every day.

You drive 45 minutes, you’re halfway across the damned country.
