Gas prices?

Dennis asked:

I drive a 2000 Cadillac STS and it costs $60 to fill her up. How in the heck are you supposed to do anything besides go to and from work with gas being this high? Will the prices ever go down instead of up?

How come it doesnt take long for gas prices to raise but why does it take really long for gas prices to drop?

Bobby Y asked:

It doesn’t make sence! it takes so long for gas prices to drop and it doesn’t drop high numbers but when it comes to raising gas prices it goes fast and big amounts of money go up? please help!

What do y’all think of this as a way to lower gas prices?

Dfwteddybear asked:

I think its time to take gas prices out of the speculative markets and make it managed through government control. Even though I **** government control! We need this because with our current dependence on oil, its become as necessary as a utility, just like electricity. Also, we need much more funding on alternative fuel research, subsidies so lower income folk can buy cars like the Prius.

How high do gas prices need to get before people do something?

The Big Aristotle asked:

I realize that we have our hands tied somewhat, since most people need gas in order to drive to work, store, etc, but there must be SOMETHING people can do to put pressure on the states to cap oil prices. By continuing to buy at these hiked prices, we’re sending the message that we’re ok with paying these prices…..but we’re not! What do you suppose should be done? I was thinking we could start riots at all our local gas stations…but i dont know if that would work

What is a good way to save money with rising gas prices?

Nick E asked:

What can be done about the high gas prices?

Kristin asked:

Gas prices where I am at are now at or slightly over $3.00 a gallon for Regular Unleaded Fuel. Is there anything that can be done without affecting the Global Market or are we just doomed to pay out the ying-yang for gas?

What are you views on the high gas prices?

Michael B asked:

Do you think all of the people who whine about them should take the bus instead of whining and still filling their car up? Gas prices are as a matter of fact based on the supply-and-demand laws.
Ok let me add a second question, if gas suddenly became $10 a gallon. Would you still fill up your tank? If you couldn’t afford it what would you do?

How do they know when to change the gas prices?

david m asked:

Gas prices change quite frequently, as ive noticed. I remember a particular gas station that changed its prices over 6 times in one day. How do they know when to change the prices? Who contacts them? Do they already have the information available? Where do they get it? Are they aloud to disclose it?

Is there any hope in gas prices going down?

workstoomuch asked:

I’ve been planning on going to Alaska (coming from central California) in mid-late may. Now that the gas prices are going up, it looks like my roadtrip dreams have been shattered. None of my friends can go with me to split the costs. Will the prices go down any time in the summer? Anyone need a ride up the north west?
