We did what the government told us to do – bought smaller and more efficient autos, we took the bus, we carpooled, we used our bicycles more often, we cut down on road trips.

We did with less – will the government do the same?

The government is collecting less gas taxes because the prices are down(gas tax is based on a percentage of the price) – How long before the government raises gas taxes to compensate for the lower gas prices and less tax revenue.

I realize that we have our hands tied somewhat, since most people need gas in order to drive to work, store, etc, but there must be SOMETHING people can do to put pressure on the states to cap oil prices. By continuing to buy at these hiked prices, we’re sending the message that we’re ok with paying these prices…..but we’re not! What do you suppose should be done? I was thinking we could start riots at all our local gas stations…but i dont know if that would work

Let’s assume, that gas prices goes to $100 a gallon so it can not be bought by almost anybody. What will happen to the economy and to everybody else? Should we kill ourselves? Does the increase in oil prices is the end of the world or at least civilization?
