My dad called me about an hour ago and he said that I need to fill up my cars immediately because gas prices are going up tomorrow. Well, to my surprise, every gas station around where I live is over crowded with people panicking to fill up their cars including me. What’s going on? I tried to find something on the internet about it, but I couldn’t. Could someone enlighten me about this situation?

I realize that we have our hands tied somewhat, since most people need gas in order to drive to work, store, etc, but there must be SOMETHING people can do to put pressure on the states to cap oil prices. By continuing to buy at these hiked prices, we’re sending the message that we’re ok with paying these prices…..but we’re not! What do you suppose should be done? I was thinking we could start riots at all our local gas stations…but i dont know if that would work

Since the price of everything else is going up because the economy is bad, how is it that the gas prices are dropping? Do you think the oil companies think that we have short memories?

Couldn’t they move closer to work?

Use public transportation, walk or bike?

Buy a more fuel efficient vehicle?

If they took low gas prices for granted don’t they mostly have themselves to blame?

Do you think all of the people who whine about them should take the bus instead of whining and still filling their car up? Gas prices are as a matter of fact based on the supply-and-demand laws.
Ok let me add a second question, if gas suddenly became $10 a gallon. Would you still fill up your tank? If you couldn’t afford it what would you do?
