You are paying a cheap price.

In Australia, we pay $USD6.50 and more per US Gal (3.6 litres)

Britain and most of Europe pay well over $USD8.50 per US Gal.

Fuel costs with respect to income are far worse in most places outside the US.

Part of your problem in the US is the asserted right to cheap fuel prices and to drive large cars.  The rest of the world has moved on to more economical cars, but your &#039;Big Three&#039; have yet to develop economical designs by world standards.

Sorry, but count yourself lucky and stop complaining.</description>

It has to do with demand. China and India have billions of habitants and the burgeoning classes in these countries are getting richer, therefore, everybody there wants to drive a car and they have to buy petrol and gas in order drive one. Saudi arabia increases their prices when more demand is made, so ye the problem is the increase in demand, if people were consuming less than we wouldnt have prices so high.</description>
